It is a great launchpad and homebase from which to explore the nature of South Hams, Dartmoor and Devon’s famous coastline.
Holbeton centres around the local pub, the Mildmay Colours, a village shop and post office, a thriving primary school and a 13th Century church.
Alongside the Village Hall, Holbeton boasts a Community Orchard, allotments, play park and a sports field and Croquet Club in Battisborough Cross.
There are a growing number of clubs and societies in Holbeton, which can be found here ( LOCAL GROUPS ).
The beautiful, quiet beaches of Mothecombe and the Yealm estuary are less than two miles away and the larger beaches/towns of Salcombe, Dartmouth, Torquay and Bigbury are all within a 25 mile radius and we are right on the doorstep of the magnificent Dartmoor.
Mothecombe gardens are also nearby, alongside hundreds of pathways for walking groups of all abilities.
Neighbouring Totnes and Tiverton are home to many farm and creative markets.
